Yes, you read that right. We here at MoonRunners all gathered our heads together, and decided to take a shot in the dark on throwing a one day, two stage festival. We will give you all plenty of rest after taking in Farmageddon Fest and Muddy Roots this summer, and will throw our very first festival on April 27th, 2013.
MoonRunners Fest will take place at Reggie's Rock Club and Reggie's Music Joint in beautiful downtown Chicago, IL. We thought we would place it square in the Mid West for all of you! This will be an indoor Festival, so there will be no worries about rain or inclement weather.
Reggie's is essentially two venues in one. The Main Stage will be in the Rock Club, while Stage two, will be right next door in The Music Joint! There will be a full menu with Chicago's best bar food (hands down), and there is a HUGE Record Store on site for you all to browse through if you find any down time. Reggie's also has a 4th floor Roof Top bar to relax in, if you decide to take a break from the music for a bit (but, why would ya?). We will be making a full web page dedicated to the festival with ticket information and hotel information at Moonrunnerscountry.com/fest. There will be rooms available for folks attending the fest at South Loop Hotel which has FREE parking and is within walking distance of the Venue! We just wanted to make the announcement as soon as possible for those that will be traveling and need to make arrangements.
Tickets will go on sale November 1st through Ticket Fly, and we are expecting an early sell out, as the venue is certainly not enormous. Once they are gone, they are gone, so be sure to buy them early! Tickets will be $30 and gets you entry to both venues. The fest will begin at 11am and run until close. The event will be 21+, we are sorry kids, but this was the only way to make it possible to transfer drinks between the two rooms. No two acts will perform at the same time, so plan to make your way back and forth between the two rooms all day!
That should be all the current information. I can't think of anything else right now.... Oh Wait! The Lineup? Perhaps you all are interested in who is performing. Here are the first 15 acts announced. We will have THREE more performers announced before tickets go on sale, (two of which will be headlining acts). Well, here ya go! Bands are in no particular order. Enjoy.
